Treasure Coast Caregiver Workforce Foundation Inc. (TCCWFI) was proactively founded to address one of the most urgent challenges facing our aging community—the shortage of compassionate, highly trained caregivers.
Our organization's inspiration is deeply personal. After witnessing our founder's father live with dementia and experience an interaction with a caregiver who lacked compassion and dementia-specific training, it became clear that every older adult deserves care delivered with dignity, empathy, and clinical competence. That experience inspired the creation of TCCWFI as a long-term solution to the growing caregiver workforce crisis.
As Florida approaches the 2030 "Silver Tsunami," with unprecedented growth in the older adult population, the demand for qualified caregivers continues to outpace the available workforce.
